VJPG is VINJEY's implementation of JPEG Decoder. JPEG is widely used standard, for coding continuous tone still images. VJPG supports decoding of CCITT T-81 (ISO/IEC 10918-1) compressed bitstreams. VJPG supports decoding of streams coded in baseline sequential and progressive format

VJPG is an independent implementation that has been developed from scratch, in accordance with the requirements of Memory and MIPS constrained embedded solutions. VJPG has support for decoding images with 255 components and 255 scans. VJPG conforms to ITU-T Recommendation T.83 (Information Technology – Digital Compression and Coding of Continuous-tone still images: Compliance Testing).
